While dogs may get excited at the idea of jumping through hoops, pet food manufacturers don’t. Understandably, they want to keep their operation as streamlined as possible, which includes easy implementation and servicing of their packaging line.
Working with Bartelt or any brand within the ProMach family doesn’t just offer the benefit of industry-leading packaging technology. It also provides top-tier customer service and ease of doing business.
ProMach One
Whether a pet food manufacturer is looking for a single machine, an entire packaging line, or anything in between, they can do so through one ProMach contact. Zarpac, for example, applies its engineering expertise toward developing and integrating turnkey packaging lines when multiple ProMach brands are involved. Zarpac, along with ProMach Integrated Solutions and Statera, are part of ProMach’s Systems and Integration business line, which is the strategic arm dedicated to supplying services and systems that help optimize the performance of packaging lines for a virtually unlimited range of packaged goods.
ProMach’s full complement of product brands are grouped into distinct business lines that make the most sense to our customers, covering every function of the packaging line. One such example is CL&D, a film converting company within ProMach. CL&D has extensive knowledge in sustainability, an initiative many manufacturers are working to implement into their operation. With ProMach, pet food companies can bring in both the film and the equipment it will run on through a single contact without the worries and logistical hassles of coordinating with two independent brands.
What Bartelt Brings
Bartelt has been a proud member of the ProMach family since 2021. Our pouching and cartoning machines are used extensively within the pet care market, offering the level of flexibility and customization that customers can expect from a ProMach brand.
The two main variations that impact pet food packaging is whether the food is wet or dry and the amount going into the package. Bartelt’s pouching solutions offer options for both. They can package dry food, wet food or food that is a combination of the two, and the machines can support between 1-lb. and 50-lb. quantities in each pouch.
Once the pet food or treats are in its primary packaging, Bartelt also offers secondary packaging with its cartoning machines. In addition to serving as a practical means of transporting multiple units at a time, this can also provide shelf-ready aesthetic appeal. Pouches can be counted, collated, and displayed in a single carton for end users without the need for hand packing or additional machinery.
Man’s Best Friend
Like all the ProMach brands, we consistently work with customers to find the best possible solutions. Our facility in Sarasota, Florida, is a great resource available to help them do so. Many customers take advantage of our expertise and state-of-the-art test lab by sending several film options down to use for trial runs before making their final supplier decision. Once we have narrowed down the film types that work on their machines, they can come down and see for themselves as we walk them through testing to identify the best film choice. Conducting these tests at our facility in Florida is a great benefit and convenience to customers as they don’t have to interrupt production by performing tests at their plants.
Come see for yourself how Bartelt and the entire ProMach family can add value to your pet food operation at the PetFood Forum. Bartelt will be co-located in booth 1106 as part of the ProMach Pet Care Solutions Team.
